- Math: Either LOF Fractions and Decimals & Percents with Math Mammoth OR Teaching Textbooks 6

Do your kids enjoy in-depth study based on novels, or do they prefer to enjoy the novel simply for the pleasure of it?
ReplyDeleteThe folks who publish Further Up & Further In also created The Prairie Primer, based on the Little House books. We started that with great enthusiasm but honestly grew tired of it after 2 or 3 books (don't remember exactly; it's been a while).
That doesn't mean it's not a good fit for your kids, but to suggest you think about the way your kids respond to literature. Do they like answering comprehension questions and such? Or does that suck the life out of a book for them?
Thinking that over might help you decide which way to go. I hope it helps, anyway, and doesn't just complicate things for you!
